Preparing for the Journey to Space: Energy

Two, free Web Seminars sponsored by the NASA Explorer Schools program were scheduled
in the spring of 2006. The programs featured Dr. Art Poland, from George Mason University,
and Mr. David McKissock, from NASA Glenn Research Center. The seminars focused on
the topic of energy, the Sun, space weather, human space travel, and the international
space station’s power systems. All participants received information regarding electronically
available resources at NASA. Both web seminars were designed for 4-9 grade level
educators.
