NSTA Web Seminar Features
Web Seminars are free, interactive, live, online, 90-minute sessions of professional development featuring NASA and NOAA scientists, education experts, and NSTA Press authors.
To assure you of a pleasant experience during the Web Seminar, the first 30 minutes,
of the 90-minute program are dedicated to training and testing to give you time to get acquainted with the interactive
tools. We strongly advise all participants to be part of the 30-minute tutorial. Failing to do so may mean you will have
to talk with our tech support person during the 60-minute content session.
Throughout the 60-minute content session you will have the opportunity to interact
with the presenters in several ways. You can speak to the presenters using your
computer microphone, communicate with them via the direct messaging window, there
will be poll questions to answer, and you will have access to "mark-up" tools that
will allow you to mark the presenter's slides.
In addition, time will be provided to answer your questions. You can type and submit
questions anonymously to the presenters by entering them on the "Direct Messaging" window, or
you can ask your questions using your computer microphone. The experience will be a rewarding
hour of collegial learning and discussion that will give direct access to the presenters.
As the date for the Web Seminar gets close, go to: www.elluminate.com/support to make sure that you have Java
Web Start on your computer before the day of the seminar and Visit the Elluminate Live! CONFIGURATION ROOM to set-up your
computer's audio. This will verify that your computer has the proper plug-in and is configured to participate in the seminar.
In addition please watch a 5-minute RECORDED ORIENTATION of the features of Elluminate Live!
